North Thurston High School Additions and Renovations

Structural design for numerous additions and renovations. Phase 1 includes a new Fitness building, two-story Classroom and Administration addition, and an addition to the Performing Arts Center. The two story building uses wood framing above the second floor to provide a structure that is economical and works well with architectural design. For the fitness building, we worked with the contractor to determine most cost-effective method to provide the 100 foot span. The second phase includes a complex remodel and seismic upgrade of the existing two-story concrete structure. PSM worked closely with the architect and others to provide a design that is economical and constructible.
